Unexpected sandstone bluffs nestled in the woods. Plenty of places to get off the trail and find something new. A few good spots to climb up a 60 foot cliff face. Bone dry when I went so the small water fall wasn't doing much.
Bad storm damage has ruined the Trail Through Time. We couldn't complete the short loop because fallen trees in the trail blocked our path. The trail marker posts are also either fallen down or covered up. If you're familiar with the trail, it won't bother you. But if you don't know where you're going, you could easily get lost. The MO Department of Conservation needs to do trail maintenance.
Beautiful and challenging 2 mile course. Great rock formations and caves.Plenty of elevation changes, too. The trail could be a bit better marked.
We loved this trail. It is really beautiful, but it is poorly marked. It needs markers!!! Getting lost on it especially during late afternoon when the sun is going down is a real possibility.
Nice hike, a little short but easy to take a few times for 10k training .
Plenty of smooth rolling hills to stride easy or make up for lost time
Nice roots and rocky ledges for foot agility and optional long steps to stretch foot strides
